A tribute to geometric abstraction
Czech geometric abstraction represents an important chapter in the history of modern art. This art movement, focusing on pure geometric shapes and lines, has been developing in the Czech Republic since the 1960s.
Artists such as Jiří Kolář, Zdeněk Sýkora and Karel Malich have brought innovative approaches that have enriched the world scene. Their works, often based on mathematical principles, explore the relationships between shape, color and space, thus appealing to viewers with their visual purity and intellectual depth. This legacy of Czech geometric abstraction continues today thanks to artists such as Jakub Sýkora, Ján Vasilko, Jiří Maťějů, Daniel Hanzlík and Stanislav Kolíbal.
Jakub Sýkora is known for his works that combine traditional geometric forms with modern technologies. Ján Vasilko brings dynamics and movement to geometric abstraction, while Jiří Maťějů focuses on minimalist compositions and precise work with color. Daniel Hanzlík experiments with space and light, creating works that captivate with their depth and subtlety. Stanislav Kolíbal, one of the key representatives of this movement, continues to inspire with his ability to connect art with architecture and design.
These contemporary artists not only maintain the tradition of Czech geometric abstraction, but also enrich it with new perspectives and techniques, ensuring that this important artistic movement remains alive and relevant even today.

About the project
The WE WEAR ART project brings a unique connection between contemporary art and everyday life. The goal is to get the works of talented young artists from studios and school workshops onto high-quality T-shirts, which then become carriers of artistic stories. Each piece is a limited edition that supports a specific artist and their work. Wearing a WE WEAR ART T-shirt means becoming a patron of art and part of the story that art tells. Art does not only belong in galleries, but also in the streets, cafes, at concerts and in schools - in short, everywhere we are.
The WE WEAR ART project is about connection, support and freedom of expression. If the idea of wearable art has intrigued you, share this project and help young artists who deserve to be seen. Art is not just what hangs in galleries, it is also what we wear in our hearts and sometimes on our T-shirts.
